Phil Mitchell (Captain)
Phil has played for many a season and had turned his arm to most things, batting, bowling, wicket keeping and became captain for the second time in 2017.
In recent seasons, Phil has honed his bowling skills and has become a useful partnership breaking slow bowler. Now with over 80 wickets for the club, Phil is the go-to man to get out a man in form or a difficult to dislodge partnership.
An incredible spell against Hove Unicorns in 2013, saw Phil claim 6 wickets for 25 runs to leave the oppositions run chase in tatters. That season saw Phil take 20 wickets at 25, the best return from a slow bowler at the club.2015 and 2016 seasons saw solid returns with 8 and 10 wickets respectively.
Renowed for his leg side shot selection and with a personal best of 27 not out with the bat against Preston Park, Phil is usually guaranteed a couple of good knocks each season - 25 not out in 2015 and 17 at Ferring in 2020 being his most recent highlights.

Tim Pearson
Tim's the clubs longest serving player and has racked up over 30 years of service, which included a number of years as club captain.
Tim's positive, attacking batting has been rewarded with one hundred for the club against Worthing thirds and has also posted numerous fifties, including 82 not out against Snowdrop in 2008 and 91 at Worthing Gents in 2010. Frequently averaging in the twenties with the bat, the right hander has set up many victories, including in the final game of the 2014 season, hitting an entertaining 72 not out against Lancing Manor. Most recent fifties have come against Salthill in 2016, whilst Tim hit an important 42 in the victory against Old Barn in 2020.
Tim's all rounder status is justified after years of delivering with the ball, with a mixture of pace and swing that has had many a batsman jumping around the crease. 6-31 at Moulscoomb in 2008 remains a stand out moment to propel his side to victory. Recent knee troubles have reduced Tim's bowling, but he has still been in the wickets, 4-18 at Rodmell in 2017 being a recent highlight along with a match winning 3-8 in the home victory against Old Barn in 2018 and 4-18 in a match winning performance at Moulscoomb in the July sun in 2019.

Ash Hilton
A former Findon junior, Ash is one of the sides longest serving players and has represented Angmering since 2004, serving the club well as a middle order batsman and also as a partnership breaking bowler. With around 250 appearances for the side, Ash's pleasing stroke play, safe hands in the slips and swing bowling has been a joy to watch and seems to be maturing like a fine wine as the years go by.
With over 4000 runs and 20 fifties, Ash has been a key contributor in the middle order, hitting a high of 98 not out at Rodmell in 2016, closely followed by 85 against the Jamaica Pirates in 2020 and 85 not out against Portslade in 2010, which would have surely resulted in a maiden hundred had his side not run out of batting time. Hilton also hit 70 against Portslade a couple of seasons earlier, whilst also posting an unbeaten 72 against Brunswick Village in 2019 and a match winning 72 against Moulscoomb in 2020. Hiltons batting contributions have been prolific in the 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2020 seasons and is now the go to man for runs in the middle order.
Hilton has bowled a mixture of swing and spin over the years, and picked up the clubs 'best bowler' award in his debut season. With over 175 wickets at an average of around 25, Hilton has claimed many a middle and lower order batsmans wicket. 4-19 being his best figures., whilst picking up 20 wickets at a fraction over 20 in a highly productive 2016. Hiltons best efforts in a quiet 2018 were 3-36 win against Old Barn. Wickets have followed on a more frequent basis in 2019, taking 4 wickets on 2 occassions against Moulscoomb and Warninglid.
Ash made just 3 appearances in 2014 but has since returned on a more frequent basis, picking up the best batsman award in 2016, for accumulating over 500 runs and in 2017 for scoring over 400 runs, including an unbeaten 71 against Lavant. After a quiet 2018 season, scoring just over 300 runs at an average of 27, Hilton returned with regular fifties in 2019 and the shortened 2020 season, finishing top of the batting averages. Much is expected of Ash for the 2021 season, including that of joint vice captaincy duties.

Jim Hughes Senior
Namesake but no relation to the former club skipper, Jim has represented the side since 2010, initially as a slow bowler, but over the past couple of seasons as a top order batsman and also as chief reviewer/analyser of opposition teas! A keen cricketer, Jim always gives 100% and is an enthusiastic fielder, often snaffling out runs in the gully or mid wicket. His batting has come on and contributed a useful 28 in the midweek win against Mid Sussex in 2013 whilst falling agonisingly close to a half century against Old Barn in the same season, hitting a rapid 45 before being dismissed.
Jim has around a dozen wickets for the club at a touch over 50. Jim weighed in with 93 runs in 2018 and was a solid performer in 2020, chipping in on a regular basis including a match winning knock of 24 in a fine late order partnership with Ash Hilton against Moulscoomb in 2020. Jim now has over 700 runs for the side.

Jerry Ireland
Jerry featured in most of Angmerings 2020 fixtures, proving to be a useful bowler and upper order batsmen. A personal best 18 against Rustington was probably not a true reflection of Jerrys batting ability. The club hopes to see Jerry back on the field in 2021.

Adam Rider
Adam joined the side during the 2009 season and quickly established himself in the side as a key batsman. After over 20 years out of the game, Rider posted a season's best 31 not out in the midweek 20/20 match at Windlesham School. 2010 couldnt have started better for Rider, hitting his maiden 50 against Belters in the opening match of the season, finishing unbeaten on 68 and then followed that up in 2011 scoring a personal best 83 against the same side. His form continued to be solid at the top of the Angmering order, and after a blip in 2012 was back to his best in 2013 with half centuries at Aldwick and Lindfield, helping him past the 1,000 run mark. Runs have been a little harder to come by since then, but Adam contributed an excellent 47 against Solent Rangers in 2016.
Adam has claimed the clubs 'best batsman' award once and the 'best bowler' award twice, most recently in 2014 when he took 17 wickets at a little over 10 a piece. A reliable medium pace bowler and an excellent partnership breaker, Adam now has over 60 wickets for the club, including a best of 5-42.

An occasional player since 2012, Richard joined the side on a more regular basis in 2014, playing 11 matches. Richard averaged a respectable 16 with the bat, posting a highest score of 40 against Worthing Gents and also chipping in with a useful 24 against Brighton Exiles to help the Oaks to their first win of the season. These knocks were dwarfed in 2017 when Richard posted his first fifty for the club in the victory over Glynde. Richard’s medium pace claimed 10 victims in 2014, including a final day haul of 3-16 in the victory at Lancing Manor. Andy White (Former legend)
Andy sadly passed away in 2016 and to this day is a loss for Angmering Cricket Club. Andy was always a positive person at the club and was one of the clubs longest serving players, usually filling the role of lower order batsman. Andy, strode to the crease and was capable of both big shots and solid defence, hitting a career best 52 not out at Bognor and South Berstead in 2008 and scoring a rapid 39 against the same side in 2009. The 'Fairground attraction' was also called on for his slow spin bowling and chipped in with the odd wicket at key times over the years. His career best bowling came in the 2004 season, when he took 3-14 at home to Snowdrops in one of the greatest spells seen in recent times. Andy's appearances became less frequent, but he did contribute a swashbuckling match winning innings of 49 in the home victory over Jamaica Pirates in 2013.
